Class of 2005/2006

Today is a historical day in our memorandum of EE Group. Finally, our EE group got our first ever class photo taken today. Although not everyone was present in the class today, but still for those who did make it to class, it was indeed fun.

I guess everyone hadn't taken a picture since a long time ago; 2 weeks back. Everyone seems to be so busy with FYP that it's been 2 weeks since everyone had last taken a decent photograph. I mean serious. 2 weeks are long. Long enough to lose sanity. I think i'm running off topic.

Anyway, -Cantonese Speaking- hereby presents you with EE Class of 2005/2006.

Behold.

Guys & Gals. It's an honour to be coursemates with each & everyone of you. Hope we'll have the courtesy to work together again after our graduations.

Looking forward for our class gathering.

Well, FYP thesis submission is history. A fresh air of freedom is now rushing through my nostrils, and it tasted bittersweet. How lovely the taste is.

Well, my last post was not to condemn the most talkabout MMU event of the year, but to simply state my opinions, and some of the things i felt during the night. After the lengthy complains from a long winded bastard (ME), it's time for some joy i found through that nite, U-Nite.

U-Nite 2006 Part I

The long awaited U-Nite 2006 which fell on the 14th of April had finally arrived and gone. It wasn't as great as everyone had expected. It wasn't even impressive. It wasn't even worth any complimentaries. All in all, it didn't really make it.

It's not what i think. It's not what everybody think too. It's about what really happened, and what really is wrong with the night. Read HERE for more opinions.

Well, i'm always sitting on the fence on no matter what comes up. I always tries to be optimistic over matter. Today's post will talk on the failure from U-Nite. I'll post the happy part the next time.

Complaint #1.

As many of us know, Rule #7 for the night reads "Please be punctual. Late comers will not be allowed to enter." Well, they were serious about it. Many of my friends only arrived at around 8pm to PICC, due to the heavy rain and some delays i assume. You can blame them for not being punctual, but then again, the organizing committees were serious when they say you are not allowed to enter. Well, that is at least you'll need to stand on guard outside the hall entrance to become some temporary door usherers while waiting for the arrivals of the VVIPs and the VIPs. So in the end, my friends who were late to the event, was very much late by the time they enter.

I'm not sure as to why they weren't allowed into the hall when the VVIPs and VIPs were yet to arrive, but to me it's definitely a lack of flexibility incompetent act. To this, i'll rate the organizing committee a two thumbs down.

Complaint #2

Well, anyone notice the Opening Ceremoney. I didn't really do actually. It was the same as CCIP's? I'm not really sure. Can someone enlighten me? Well, i just saw something burning on stage, a confused moment on the face of Tun Dr. Mahathir, and some weak hands clapping sound that i wouldn't even call it applausing. With all the mighty budgets, couldn't the organizing team think of something more creative and grand? Well, it didn't really amaze anyone, seriously. For this, another two thumbs down.

Complaint #3

Since the arrival of the VVIPs and the VIPs was far behind schedule, everything through the night got delayed. Well, for every events there WILL be delays no matter how well you plan it. That is why, if you are someone with common sense, you will definitely be flexible during the night to adjust the whole program flow to well suit the situation.

Well, that didn't happen. At least it didn't occurs to me that the director plan any backups just in case the important people arrive late. How smart of him. I don't know about their promoting of Peace during the night. My motive to the night was to have fun and snap pictures with all my friends before graduation. Somehow, that's not what the organizing team had up their sleeves. They were planning to promote peace all along. How lovely.

I don't know if it's true, but somehow i felt that the dance floor wasn't really open for dancing on the night. I saw people finally getting in the mood to get their butt off the chairs not to take photographs but to dance, then the bloody director start thanking everyone and halau-ing people away. The music was cut off instantly, lights out instantly, usherers pushing us out the hall immediately. This is the efficient part of them. Two thumbs up for halau-ing us away so efficiently man.

Complaint #4

Let's talk about the food. I paid RM89 just like everyone else. I ate an appetizer consisting of salad and bread. The portion size of my salad was like being shared by 5 other people. Someone complain the bread was mouldy. I was so bloody hungry that time i didn't even notice. I don't want to know if it happened to me too. I just don't want to know if i ate stale food.

The soup was cold. People was giving statement the soup was Campbell can soup. I don't agree. Why, you might ask? Coz Campbell can soup tasted nicer than this. This was like some tak jadi soup left from last night dinner just taken out from the fridge. Ain't cool man. It's just ain't cool.

Then come the main course, after waited an hour an half for it. Reason was we weren't sitting at the table waiting for it to come. We were blamed, if not being scolded by the caterer. So let me get this straight. We were suppose to go to a prom, dressed up so bloody nicely, sit there the whole night waiting for the food to come, and watch the bloody performance and when the night ends, we drove off with good comments of the night? This might be the case at the other side of the world, but in here, this ain't going to happen.

Now something really pissed me off. Drinks. Why isn't there someone who refill our glasses with water? Is that so hard a thing to find? A glass of water? So we were suppose to take salty mushroom soup, and a chicken rice main course dry?

So here's a suggestion to make everyone's life simpler. Find a caterer with more man power, and serve food on the table whether there's people sitting there or not. Just save the trouble and mess of finding people on the table to serve the food. It's ridiculous.

Complaint #5

Performance. Some were good. Some memang tak jadi. You decide about it, okay? For me most of the performance wasn't impressive. It's more like for filling up the intervals with something so that the hall won't be in a complete silence. At least our other campus got Amber Chia for their night.

But of course, i'm sure al the artist have their interesting sides in their performance. I'm not saying that they ain't cool, it's just that it might not suit the purpose of the night. It ain't their fault if people think the performances sucks, coz it's the arrangement of the organizing team that made them sucks.

Another very dissappointing matter was the emcees. Well, they just ain't good enough. They could really at least catch the attentions of everyone for awhile, but that never happened either. The worst part was, they didn't even promote the booth for the violinist, Joanne Yeoh. Most of us didn't know there's a booth there for her until after the night ended. This is not cool either.

Complaint #6

My friend got the best dress award for male. His price was a lousy bedsheet and a lousy Pooh pillow. Such grand event and the giveaway is like this. I must say, this is so cheap. Damn pariah. They could at least give out some tea vouchers at some nearby hotel or free entrance voucher to Zouk, or even maybe some discount coupons at Body Shop. But instead, they give lousy bedsheet and Pooh pillow. That wasn't impressive too.

Complaint #7

There were comments saying that the committe tried their best to give everything they could possibly give to make the night a success. Well, it's either their best wasn't good enough, or they weren't giving their best at all. They might even talk back at me telling me to organize something like this by my own. Ok, i would. But that would be another story rite? The organizing team took this responsibility upon their shoulder, and therefore they should take in every compliments and criticisms to improve themselves, and also the event in the future. If you only like to listen to good things and turn the blind side to the criticisms, then we'll know how matured you are rite?

The whole event just make me feel something that can be express in a chinese proverbs. I can't type chinese, so i'll transkate it, and i'm sure you'll get it in an instant too. If you don't have such a big head, don't wear such a big hat.

All in all, the night wasn't really a good one. Two thumbs down for the planning and organizing, and not to forget the co-ordination of the flow of the night. It's really a let down. My final year prom and it's got so ruined by lousy organizing team. Except the photo taking part with my friends, and the hall decore, everything else about the night was way below par. Sorry to say.

Life Sucks

First of all, Happy Birthday Mei Kiong. Remember, the day you were born is the day your mom risk her life to give you a one. So, make sure you love her more than your boyfriend, okay? This applies to everyone as well.

Now, let's proceed. Another complain post about life. I really feel my life sucks. Everything is not going the right way. Nothing is going according to plan. Nothing. Practically nothing. Not even after so much effort has been put into. Not even after so much blood & tears have spilled. Nothing.

My future is in a bleak manner. My love life is in a mess. My graduation is still uncertain.

What a loser. What went wrong? All i did was tried to do the right thing. All i did was trying not to cross over the dark side in me. All i did was trying to be a nice guy.

So what happened, you might ask? Everything just went the wrong way. Simply everything. Hasn't all the bad things happened to me in this life time of twenty over years enough to pay back my debts to the bad karma i might accumulate in my past lives?

I always tell myself this is all going to end soon. I'm right about this somehow. But then again, when one bad thing end, another take over. Sometimes they come together in a tag-team. But anyhow, it's starting to wear me out.

Life is suffering, but nothing is permanent. Not happy moments. Not even sad moments. No matter how fucked up life will become, i still need to live it up to my expectations. I've never gave up back then, i'm never going to give out now. I'm a stubborn fuck anyway.

This will all end on the 19th this month. Till then, i can only do my best. Friends, i need your supports to go through this few days.

Lazy People

Complaints. I just want to shout out loud. I just want to scold the ugly bitch right into her face. I just want to do it so badly i might explode any moment now.

Well, if you think i hate you and you think i'm talking about you, i'm sorry to dissappoint you this time. I ain't talking about you. i was talking about some lazy-fat-ass-ugly-wan-tan-bitch who had been holding my FYP samples for 2 weeks. Yea, you've heard me complaining about how lazy the bitch is, and you've definitely heard me complaining how lame her excueses were when she told us she haven't done anything to our samples yet.

Fuck it.

Damn lazy i tell you. It's because of this kinda people, our beloved country is so slow moving into Developed Nation status. It's because of this kinda people, that the world is infested with a disease called Inefficiency. It's because of this kinda people, i might fail my FYP. Damn her~!~! Just damn her~!~!~!

I know lar, i'm a Buddhist and i must be forgiving and stuffs. But i'm really sorry. I can't think straight this time. I needed to excel in this very fucking badly. No compromise. No excuse. No second chance. This is why i can't forgive her. This is why i'm so bloody pissed-off.

I'm sorry this is an angry post. I'm just too fucking worried that no matter how many times i've told this to someone, i'm still feeling so bloody fucked-up over the matter. Hopefully i can settle this soon, and then my life should be merrier. A lot merrier. I'm a nice person after all.

Together Everyone Achive More

This is what TEAM spells for. Together, everyone will achieve more. This is also the theme for our very own DSG Camp 2006.

Kalyana Mitra. Pali word for friends. Friendship is what this camp is all about. Friendship is what our lives are all about. Friendship, the ship that never sinks.

I got reminded about how precious my friends are to me. After a series of unfortunate events that happened not the way i planned in my life, i' seen how friends are beside me. I'm never lonely anymore. Even without them by my side. I'm never lonely.

Well, this camp is the first time in my life, i hold the title of being a photographer. It might not be a big thing to you, it might not even be something to proud of. But, it's something BIG to me. It's the opportunity for me to practice my skill. It's an opportunity for me capture the happy moments in life. It's the reason i bought my camera, to capture the happy moments.

I've got a heart for you

I'm a PIG too

Err....Hmm.....

Eat Up

This is a dharma camp. In case you didn't know what's dharma, visit HERE.

This is not only a fun camp, this is also an educating camp. A serious camp.

Dedication of Merits

As you can see, i'm not in these photos. In fact, i'm not in most of the photos. Guess why? If you can't guess, you seriously is stupid not reading my post properly. I'm the photographer. Remember?

Well, i'm in some of the photos. A few at least. Really. Even photographer can have their pictures taken. Just like this one.

Stacked

Well, it was a worthwhile weekend to spend off. Although it's tiring, although it's time consuming, but it's indeed worthwhile in everyway. If you miss this camp, don't worry about it. We'll have another one next year. So, remember join us next year, okay?

Oh ya, for the rest of the pics, get it from me or Alice, okay? Thx :X
