Christmas in Ipoh Part 2

This is the second part of the Christmas weekend i had in Ipoh. Meeting the guys was at Christmas Eve, then what am i doing the whole day for Christmas day?

I don't remember saying this but i had a very special guest with me in Ipoh this time. Of course she had appeared a lot of times, mentioned a lot of times in this blog. Yes, you already guessed correctly. She's no other but the recently birthday sunshine gal, Hui Zhen.

Well, it was kinda odd for what we did on Christmas day. What we did had nothing to do at all with Christmas. Nothing at all.

We went to a temple.

Guan Yin Dong

Well, this is "Guan Yin Dong". It's actually a cave or some sort. As it is well known, Ipoh is famous for pretty gals (leng-lui), pomelo (luk yau), Bean Sprout Chicken (nga choi gai), and caves. For this Guan-Yin Temple, this is actually my first time there.

You see, this temple is just a newly established on among the many in Ipoh. As i'm seldom in Ipoh, so when this new temple came into place, i really don't know. But anyway, it's not really completed yet. There's a lot of attractions still under construction, but there's already a lot of things to see there.

For example there's this magnificent sight of pretty face mountainous scenery behind us.

Mountain View
At mountain Top
Rumah Atap

At the foot of this mountain, there's this piece of river rock with a mystical story. It's about this piece of rock being unable to be moved from this particular spot no matter how you try. it was said that there was once they tried to move it with 2 of those "jentolak" but the 2 heavy machines fell to their knees & refuses to operate once they try to move the rock.

The story was something like that lar. I can't remember the whole story also lar. Anyway, this is the mystical river rock.

River Rock

Other than this there's a shrine where they place the souls of children who died from abortions. it's kin of creepy, honestly. I don't even dare to snap pictures there, being afraid i might capture something more than people. So no pictures of that ghostly creepy place.

Wishing Tree

Outside that shrine, there's a wishing tree. It's the type where you always see in tvb series, where gals always throw oranges tied to a stack of talisman onto a tree. Remember the scene?

Wish comes True

Evening time over, we went home for dinner and out again to watch midnight movie. Finally i get to watch Perhaps Love. I think i will talk about this movie on tomorrow's post since i feel like talking a lot about this movie. I know there had been a lot of reviews on that movie, so maybe i'll try to think something up to make it special, okay?
